In this post I will be writing about film or TV shows that are similar to our opening sequence outline.
- This character is the same as ours will be because of the costumes and props used to show the ability of their strength.
- It shows that they have a chance of surviving as they are ready to battle against whomever.
- The difference in this character is that our girls won't be superheroes and won't be wearing this costume.
Narrative:
- In our sequence it's about a girl getting chosen to fight for her life instead of getting killed.
- What's similar to ours and Wonder Woman is that in the movie Gal Gadot is fighting for the world and herself.
- What's different is that Gal Gadot chooses to put herself in danger by saving the world which isn't the case in our sequence because someone is paying to kill on of the girls who have been taken.
- Our characters should have her attitude when it comes to a fight as if they were so strong that they are not scared of anything.

Director: Patty Jenkins
Producer: Charles Roven
Distributor: Wonder Bros Productions
Main Cast: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright
Characters:
- Gal Gadot is a fierce and powerful character that symbolizes our girl characters in our opening sequence.
- This is because the girls are supposed to look like strong people who are ready for a fight.

Theme:
- Gal Gadot really represents our idea because she is a survivor and fights back to anything coming her way which is similar to our opening sequence.
- It is similar because the girls in our sequence are supposed to have the mentality of getting through anything and surviving the worst to come.
- The difference is that our girl characters won't be superheroes and they are fighting for their life not to save the world as Gal Gadot is.

Setting/Location:
- There is not much similarity in location or setting, the only scene that I found was when the whole group are in the woods on horses.
- This is similar because we are using the woods in our opening sequence, therefore, it gives us an inside look on how it could be seen as.
- It is different because it will only be one character whom is running in the woods freely with a chooser hunting her down.

Director: Francis Lawrence
Producer: Nina Jacobson
Distributor: Lionsgate Entertainment
Main Cast: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth
Characters:
- Jennifer Lawrence is also another fierce character who fights to save herself and her family.
- This character is similar because we also want our characters to wear all black and have the determination she has.
- We also want them to be confident like her and not have a worry about what will happen.
- This character is similar because we also want our characters to wear all black and have the determination she has.
- We also want them to be confident like her and not have a worry about what will happen.
- What is different is that our opening sequence will be about girls more or less fighting to live by hand in the real world where as hunger games is a sci-fi type film where unusual things happen that wouldn't.
Theme:
- It is similar to our opening sequence because Jennifer is also surviving through a hardship that she didn't sign up for, like our girl characters because they were also forced in to this to survive a battle against someone who enjoys to kill.
- It is different because Hunger Games is a training programme for many people not only one specific person
- Jennifer also has a chance to come out of it in an easier way. Where as in our sequence one person is chosen to be hunted and killed.

Narrative:
- It is similar because Jennifer tries to find a way out of this fight by being smart which is what our character is doing by surviving and escaping.
- It is different because Jennifer has a friend who also wants the same thing so they help each other through it where as in our sequence the girl is all alone escaping in that moment she is chosen.

Setting/Location:
- There are two locations/settings which are similar to my opening sequence.
- One of them is when Jennifer is scoring points in the training programme. This is because where the people who are watching are is the type of scenery we want to create in the edit suite. It is different because there are many more people than we will have and it will be silent dialogue instead of diegetic sounds.

- The other location is in the woods which is similar to our opening sequence because the woods do look quite alike to the ones here in England around the school. It is different because it will obviously not have the exact effect as this because Hunger Games had a high budget to produce this film where as we won't.

Characters:
- Jane Doe is similar to our characters because she is strong and fights against men which our opening sequence briefly implies.

- Jane does not win this fight, nevertheless, it still shows her strength against a man.
- She was about to win until the man takes an easy way out by injecting her to make her faint. This shows weakness of the man and more strength for Jane.

- She is surviving and that is what is similar to our sequence because the girls in our video will also be trying to survive whilst still being tough and powerful.
Narrative:
- It is similar because it shows Jane fighting against a man which is like our sequence when the girls a training my fighting each other and showing their abilities.
- It is different because the concept of this TV show is about Jane being found and having a mystery to solve, where as in our opening sequence the girl is chosen by her ability and is put out in the open to run and battle for her life against the man who chose.

- Our characters should have her attitude when it comes to a fight as if they were so strong that they are not scared of anything.
Theme:
- In this scene Buffy is in a fight and there is a point where we think the villain might win, however, she proves the audience wrong by finally killing this villain. This is similar because one of the girls who are chosen in our film will prove the owner wrong by killing a chooser and taking this game down.
- It is different because our sequence will not be about killing villains but surviving them. Buffy is a happy girl who has a determination of killing bad people. Our girl characters are forced to go through this hardship but by pulling it together.
