COSTUMES - What We Need

What Costumes We Need

In this post Gabby and Alice will write about what the costumes are in our opening sequence and why we are using them.

Gabby and Alice were in charge of the costumes, here is their information on what we need:

What We Need:

Gabby and I Alice searching costumes for the characters.

We have decided as a group that we are going to all put £20 into a budget for our group using this we will all buy costumes and props. Gabby and I will be organising and purchasing the items for our group. We will get our casts measurements and sizes and buy the items as cheaply and environmentally sustainable as possible. By searching on eBay and in charity or second hand shops.

THE THREE GIRLS

We want the dresses of the girls to be distressed and messed up to give the impression they are being captured. We will do this by preparing fake blood and creating rips in the dresses. One of the girls will be wearing shoes when she runs away but the rest will be bare foot.

1) On Amazon we found this dress but we decided it would be a bit expensive to buy three of them as we are going rip them and put mud on them.

2) On eBay we found the same dress but cheaper as it would be perfect.

3) We also had the idea that the girl in the middle being chosen will be wearing a long sleeved dress to make her look different and significant and also for practical reasons when she runs outside. We then found this dress on Amazon as-well.

4) I found some boots on eBay that would look good because they look as though they have been worn in. so it would help portray the girls grunge look.

THE GAME MASTER

. The game master will be wearing loafers or some sort of black shoe. He will also be wearing a back polo neck and a black/dark grey suit.

1) The game master will be wearing black shoes, we were thinking loafers would look effective. I found some affordable loafers on Amazon.

2) I also found some mens riding boots which could also look good and more trendy. But more expensive.

3) We chose for him to be wearing a black polo neck instead of a shirt and tie because it looks more original and less formal. Also because the idea is futuristic and suit and tie is very traditional. I found these on eBay.

4) He will be wearing a black suit or dark grey. I found these on eBay so they are very cheap.

THE CHOOSER

The chooser just needs to look very casual wearing jeans, hoodie and trainers.

1) The guy choosing will be wearing trainers, they need to look as-though they have been worn in so I checked on eBay, for used trainers.

2) He will just be wearing dark denim trousers. I found these on eBay.

3) He will also be wearing a brown t-shirt. I found this on eBay.

Amount Of Costumes:

FOR THE GIRLS..

3 white victorian nightdresses for the girls, the girl being chosen will be wearing a long sleeved dress. no shoes. one girl will run out wearing boots.
