Making Of Animatic Video

In this post I will be writing about what me and Mia have been doing to create the animatic and why it is needed for the music video.

WHY

We created the animatic video to give us guidance through what shots we have and if we should add any extra bits to make it more appealing on film for the audience as it is cut to the music as well which will make it clearer to how it will look on the day. This animatic will also help us when editing the actual music video as there is a rough view on how it could look and what looks best when cutting it to the beat. 

PROCESS

To create the animatic video we firstly took photos of all of the shots from the storyboard and cropped them to the desired size. Once we did this, we used IMovie to edit the video itself. In IMovie we added all of the photos and our song 'Childhood Dreams'. 

We divided the work between me and Mia. Therefore, when editing we split it so that I edited the first bit and Mia the last part. Once we finished the editing we then looked at it as a group and decided on if any changes should be made. To finish it off we perfected it by making sure the shots matched to the beat of the song.
